Chengdu J-10 Fierce Dragon.

The design of this fighter is very similar to the IAI Lavi which I always thought resembled the Dassault Mirage series.

Went over the wrong pencil lines, whilst inking the far wing tip pylon/missile. I always make a few mistakes when I'm inking which is why I normally scan a copy of the pencil version and put it in my scraps before inking.

Edited on 22AUG2010. Changed name of picture from J-10 Fierce Dragon to J-10 Vigorous Dragon.

Updated on 13AUG2011 - Filled the air intake in with black ink.

I think it's Vigorous Dragon not Fierce but I'm not exactly Chinese to tell you. Just what I've been told.

Recently I've seen it being reffered to as Vigorous Dragon, but when it first came out I remember it be called Fierce Dragon (which I think sounds better).

Fierce Dragon is a plane which cooperate-developed in Pakistan and China, the first code name is Qiao-7. Afterward the place itself called FC-2 in national, or Fierce Dragon in their own countries. It's a totally different plane from J-10 (Vigorous Dragon).

Still, whatever the "dragons" is, China is still looking for a hardwork of the fourth generation fighters development.

I've just changed the name to Vigorous Dragon. As far as I knew the FC-1/JF-17 was called Thunder in Pakistan and Super 7 in China. After doing some wikipedia surfing I found out its got a third name, Fierce Dragon, which is what I always thought the J-10 was called.
